Waiting is free only if you already own something that works.
01Question one: where is the price against its own history?
A price near the bottom of its observed range is a reason to act. A price above the typical level is a reason to pause. This is the single most useful signal available.
02Question two: how far into the product cycle are you?
Discounting on most electronics is shallow in the first three months and meaningful after six. Buying a product in its launch quarter almost always costs a premium.
03Question three: is there a known sale window ahead?
If a major sale event is within a few weeks, waiting usually pays. If it just ended, waiting means waiting months.
04Question four: what does waiting actually cost you?
If your current device is broken or blocking work, the mathematics change completely. A ₹4,000 saving is not worth three weeks of not being able to work.
